When I was a child my Great Grandmother lived with us. She was Grace Smith Allen McAllister, who appears in the family history below. She was my oldest living relative and the mother of my maternal grandfather, but I was too young to appreciate the information she could have shared about the Smith Family.
Now with the help of the Haas family from New Hampshire and Marie Tyler U'Ren of Maryland, we are slowly reconstructing the history of Grace Smith's family. At this time we are slowly building an understanding of her Father's family. The records below reflect what we have found about Valentine and Anna M Schmidt's and their children.
Please note: the direct line from the earliest known Smith ancestors to Margaret Allen Cook are shown by a larger font size and bold print.
